Apolis Activism has just posted a great profile of Milkmade on their site, here. Thanks go out to Shea, Raan, Oliver, Shannon, Marc and the whole Apolis team for putting this together. I really admire the lengths that Apolis has taken, and the efforts they've invested, in the development of their brand, it's visual values and tactile tenets. Equally as important to how that message is relayed, be it through an artful video travel journal or a carefully applied stitch, is the message itself.

Timeless: The Composer/Arranger Series is the name of a concert series that was created in homage to the composer/arrangers who have influenced hip-hop in the most literal and profound ways. Timeless was conceived by production house Mochilla in Los Angeles during February and March 2009 and included the performances of over 150 musicians in front of ecstatic sold out crowds. These three historic events were recorded and filmed in exacting detail with Mochilla's unmistakable style. From Mulatu Astatke to J.Dilla to Arthur Verocai, the Timeless Concert Series touched upon the works of three musical giants. On the heels of the Timeless limited edition 3 DVD box set release, Mochilla will be hosting a screening of the the film in Los Angeles at the Downtown Independent, including live re-edits by J.Rocc along with a Q&A session with the films producers B+, Eric Coleman, and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson.
