Black Crane & Alexander Yamaguchi

Meet Momoko Suzuki. Together with her design partner/husband, Alexander Yamaguchi, Momoko designs and produces the Black Crane and Alexander Yamaguchi collections out of their Los Angeles home. Drawing from Momoko's background in environmental art and architecture, and Alexander's in silkscreen printing and patterning, both lines find their strengths in their geometric silhouettes and uniquely hand-dyed fabrics. As Japanese-born designers, both Momo and Alex share a deep interest in ancient Japanese culture and civilization, while both their design, and decorating, philosophies mirror a minimal and balanced approach.
