Ever wondered how and where your favorite pair of SUPER sunglasses springs to life? At long last, SUPER gives us a peak inside their Como factory in Northern Italy. From the cellulose powder used in acetate production to the exacting controls required to produce the Carl Zeiss lenses used in each pair of SUPER sunglasses, the four-minute video dances us through the journey from raw material to final, hand-finished product.

MILKMADE presents: "LOCAL + GLOBAL" Apolis Venice Marketplace

In 2011, Los Angeles-based Apolis launched their Local + Global regional Market Bag campaign on the west coast with MILKMADE. A year later, they've now sold 10,000 Market Bags and connected twenty-five retailers across six different countries with their global advocacy work in Bangladesh. This Friday, August 3rd, Apolis is returning to MILKMADE for a month-long "shop-in-shop". Join us from 7:00PM ~ 10:00PM for a “First Friday” celebration including refreshments and Apolis’ newest collection.

WAX Magazine

WAX is a bi-annual print publication exploring the intersection of art, culture and surfing in and around New York City. WAX's creative directors Aeriel Brown, David Yun and Zak Klauck believe that beauty and meaning can be found on sidewalks, boardwalks, skyscrapers and beaches alike while the magazine explores the rich history of New York surfing, its beaches and residents and in finding a pathway of cultural creativity on and off the break. WAX shares the stories of area surfers who are also artists, designers, authors and auteurs.

Each issue is organized around a unique theme, debuting with Issue #1: Dialogues in Spring 2012 which features contributions from Mikey DeTemple, Richard Kenvin, Ann Pibal, Michael Scott Moore, Danny Gordon, Mara Hoffman, Garth Weiser, Drew Heitzler, Rob Kulisek, Mark Mahaney, and more!
