The Eagle Rock Yacht Club, which runs games in Glassell Park, is expanding into Venice starting April 8. The league will play at the Oakwood Rec Center and the games will be followed by drinking. THOROCRAFT

Thorocraft is an exciting new footwear brand based out of New York, and helmed by creative director Alex James.  James describes the tenets of his design philosophy as a "continuous commitment to craftsmanship, quality, durability, and comfort". Even the name speaks to this pledge: Thoroughly crafted. While many brands are frantically trying to convince consumers of false pedigrees and imagined heritage, all in the pursuit of reinventing (and repackaging) the proverbial wheel (read: shoe), James instead has chosen to refine it and make it relevant for the contemporary man.
